So Phyllis leaves various pieces of broken clothes pins (called “pegs” in other cultures) strewn on the tiny kitchen table. She knows when I make the morning coffee, I can’t resist sitting down and finding a way to repair them all.

Because I’m a problem solver. A fixer. That’s part of who I am.

Don’t have a job? Let’s talk about why. Let’s talk about passion. Let’s talk about dreams.

Can’t get inspired? Let’s look at patterns. Let’s chat about motivations.

Now, I don’t repair automobiles. Or air conditioners. Or nuclear reactors, or even curtain rods — at least most of the time. But my passion is to repair people. To help men and women become who they were intended to be. I like to help dreamers dream and the curious ask questions. I want to see everyone fulfilled, hopeful and making a difference.

Everybody has pieces that are broken, misplaced or misaligned. The world, the system and the enemies of our soul see to that.

But me, I dream of seeing people in the right places, the right communities, in the proper relationship so they can thrive. Because I believe every problem has a solution and that every mis-step and failure can be fixed. And that the future belongs to those who dare to get fixed and move forward.

“Man is born broken. He lives by mending. The grace of God is the glue.” ~ Eugene O’Neil
